turkey hunting seminar
The Western Slope Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation is pleased to work with the Division of Wildlife to offer a turkey hunting seminar on March 24th for novice and first time hunters. The seminar will cover Colorado laws and regulations pertaining to turkey hunting, basic turkey hunting and calling techniques, basic gear, and hunting tactics. There is a $40 fee for the course, which includes a one year membership in the National Wild Turkey Federation and a friction turkey call. In addition to teaching you the basics of turkey hunting you will be able to network with veteran turkey hunters and other novice hunters. Information will also be provided about local turkey populations and hunting opportunities on public land.
The clinic will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at the Division of Wildlife Hunter Ed building, 711 Independent Ave., Grand Junction. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. For more information, or to register, please call 970-255-6181.
