NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home Course

You are invited! The NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home Course is an intermediate level shooting course on how to use a firearm for self-defense in public settings.  This course exposes students to many new shooting techniques and strategies that are applicable to self-defense situations outside the home. The continued success of these classes depends on the participation of instructors. You are invited to attend the next NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home Instructor Course, which will be held 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and 14. The range will be outside. Wear suitable clothing for outdoors (hat, jacket, etc.), and bring plenty of water or other drinks. You will need 100 rounds of ammo for your handgun and a strong side holster. The fee is $250.00 per person. Colorado sheriffs won't enforce governor's gun laws

In a stunning rebuke to gun control laws just signed by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, several state sheriffs say they won't enforce the new rules because they say it robs weapons from law-abiding citizens--but not criminals.
Calling Second Amendment rights more important than a rush to soothe citizens outraged . . . [snip]
The rebuke comes on the heels of a position the state sheriffs association took to reject national gun control out of concern it unconstitutionally limits the types of weapons state citizens are allowed to have.
According to the Steamboat Today, Moffat County Sheriff Tim Jantz said that there is nothing requiring him to enforce every state law.

• El Paso County Sheriff Terry Maketa: “Maketa said his office keeps records of every concealed carry permit holder in the county as required by law, but he would never share it. He said he would destroy the database if anyone tried to get their hands on it and would intervene if government agents started arresting county residents for exercising their constitutional rights.” El Paso County, by the way, is the most populous county in Colorado (yes, even larger than Denver County, which does not have an elected sheriff).

The sheriff said he "won't bother enforcing" the laws because it would be impossible for officers to keep track of how the requirements are being met by gun owners — and he and other sheriffs are considering suing the state to block the measures if they are signed into law.

COLORADO LEGISLATOR WANTS VICTIMS TO REMAIN VICTIMS

     It sounds like Colorado Democrat Senator Evie Hudak would rather that victims of violent crime subject themselves to the depradations of their assailant rather than stand up to them.  So ladies and gentlemen, I ask you- are you going to throw yourself on the mercy of a murderer, mugger, rapist?  Or are you going to stand up to them and say, "Not only no, but HELL NO!"  (and by 'them', I mean rapists, murderers AND legislators who seek to disarm law-abiding citizens preferentially over criminals.)
